It’s hard to believe that it has been over 7 years since Basiq first launched. There has been so much growth and change across the business, from evolving our offering to expanding the number of businesses and sectors we support.

As we continue to progress through a high growth phase, we felt it was only fitting that we gave our visual identity and digital HQ a fresh look and feel. After months of hard work and strategic tinkering, our brand-new website redesign is now ready to share with the world.

Evolving from start-up to scale-up

While a lot has changed over the years, our passion for problem-solving and providing the building blocks for fintech innovation remains unchanged.

Our founder and CEO, Damir Ćuća, started out with the goal of solving a single problem: how can we make it easier to provide fintechs with secure, consented access to customer’s financial data so they can offer ways for consumers to view, manage and interact with their finances easily.

Basiq has evolved from humble beginnings to become Australia’s leading Open Banking platform. Our Open Finance API platform realises our vision of Making Finance Easy, with the ultimate aim of empowering consumers to make smarter financial decisions by engaging with their finances in new ways.

We’re proud to share that over 3.4 million Australians have shared their financial data via the Basiq platform, with over 1.1 million actively sharing their data each month. Now, we enable real-time access to financial data from 130+ financial institutions, from banks to super funds and beyond, allowing consumers to easily access the fintech apps that are meaningful to them.

We’ve also grown from a small team to a global team of over 60 split between Australia and Serbia. Plus, we’re thrilled to be part of the Cuscal family after being acquired in March 2023, allowing us to build a one-stop-shop for fintechs, giving them all the tools they need to accelerate app development and deliver value to their customers.

Even as we’ve scaled, our focus has remained on powering fintechs, helping them get to market faster and build more engaging customer experiences.

A new look for Basiq

Like all start-ups, our previous website was an MVP.  With our growing team working hard to iterate our offering, it only felt right that we gave our brand’s visual identity the same care and attention.

Our new website is finally here with a dynamic, vibrant look that enhances the user’s online experience.

We’ve refreshed everything from our visual identity to our site structure and information architecture to make it easier for visitors to navigate our offering and find exactly what’s relevant to them. With such heavy investment in innovation and product development, we’re proud to have a new website that is better positioned to showcase our suite of solutions and our evolved capabilities, too.

Ultimately, the resulting redesign represents a shift for Basiq from a start-up to a scale-up.

The future of Basiq

While our website redesign reflects a period of immense growth for the company, our vision remains the same. We are committed to helping people take control of their personal finances by gaining access to the leading fintech apps that matter to them.

Here’s how:

  • Built for developers: we make it easy for developers to get their app up and running sooner with fast, secure APIs, an intuitive sandbox and handy quick-start guides.
  • Use case agnostic: we support a growing range of use cases, from lending to investment to personal financial management and beyond, meaning the possibilities for innovation are endless.
  • Flexible support: our local customer support team, growing library of free resources and regular industry get-togethers allow us to enable and support the future of finance, tech and data sharing.

As Ćuća explains, “We’re seeing rapid transformation in the financial services industry with initiatives such as Open Banking and new payment infrastructure. Basiq has an important role to play in driving the fintech ecosystem forward, and we feel like we’re just getting started.”
